MY DAUGHTER, MY INSPIRATION
I’m dedicating this my first blog to my Daughter, my Princess, my Life, who has always been a source of inspiration and awe to me…..♥
My daughter is everything that I always wanted to be, and so much more–she’s a gift to our world. I see her uniqueness. I see the path she’s made, that’s all her own. I see the many unique talents and gifts she has to share. I see her brilliance and her enthusiasm. I see how deeply she cares and hurts sometimes. I see her hard-earned wisdom. Her soft pure innocence, her courage and compassion and her unconditional goodness. But most of all I see what a difference she makes in this world. One of the things I admire about my daughter is her ability to bounce back from adversity. She triumphs and comes out of her low keyed moments stronger and better than ever. She has a strong faith and belief that everything happens for a reason. She’s a trailblazer, using what happens to grow.
The second thing I admire about my daughter is the great passion she has for people and the total commitment she has made to caring for all those around her. However, animals have been a great love of hers, since she was a little child, especially cats, among the domestic animals. She has a huge interest in marine life, her fascination with whales and especially dolphins. She enjoys the beautiful songbirds, village weavers and red cardinal fodies, were we live, and has placed feeders around the pool and garden for her treasured birds, so that they are part of her daily life. She often watches these animals and tells me, “I wonder what they may be thinking mum?”, and I look at her and know what she is thinking; that every animal should be free, free in their own territory. She gives all, be it animals or people, unconditional love and puts them first, above her own needs and wants. She is an outgoing and caring individual and when you are her friend, she’ll do anything she can for you. She gives and gives until it hurts, and it often does in this world full of people who prefer to take rather than give, but she doesn’t let that discourage her. She looks for the good in people and usually finds it. When she laughs, you want to laugh with her, when she cries, she breaks my heart.
I love my daughter more than life itself. I will spend the rest of my days loving her and trying to make sure she is happy, all the while trying to spare her from life’s pain and hardships. Now, she’s embarking on a new phase in her life, her very own style blog, and I know that with her determination, she’ll succeed and I pray as she walks on this journey she learns her life lessons and comes out with grace and strength.
LESSONS FOR MY DAUGHTER:
You are much more vulnerable than you ever imagined. You can feel alone in the most familiar of crowds and yet, you can feel comforted with kind words from a stranger who has walked in your shoes. You can start laughing in the middle of crying, and cry in the midst of laughter. Both are okay.
Time does heal a wound, but the scar, though it may fade, will be there forever and may twinge on gloomy days. Suffering can make you bend until you break. Love, faith and hope can eventually mend the pieces back together if you let them. Fun, laughter, singing, dancing, a good book or movie can be a non-addictive painkiller or sedative to help you cope. There is always someone who has it worse and there is always at least one thing to be grateful for. Your true friends will always love you when you are sad, traumatized, despondent and in a crisis mode. They will be there for you when and however you need them, when you are ready. And you will be there for them. You can only do your best. You are so much stronger than you ever imagined.

♥♥♥ Find a guy who calls you beautiful instead of hot…who calls you back when you hang up on him…who will lie under the stars and listen to your heartbeat…or will stay awake just to watch you sleep…wait for the boy who kisses your forehead…who wants to show you off to the world when you are in sweats…who holds your hand in front of his friends…who thinks you’re just as pretty without make-up on…One who is constantly reminding you of how much he cares and how lucky he is to have you…the one who turns to his friends and says that’s HER!!!♥♥♥
I LOVE YOU ANGEL, always, forever and beyond…♥
I hope this message touches someone’s heart the way my daughter touches mine and inspired me to write it. My life is a fairy tale because it revolves around a princess, my beautiful daughter. I LOVE you. No matter where you go in life or who you grow up to be, I’ll always be right there, standing behind you…encouraging you to live your dreams. My darling daughter, I love you. My only prayer to God is to stop time from ticking away so that you never grow up and always remain my delightful little diva forever. A responsible and intelligent daughter like you is the most important contribution any parent can make to this world. I’m glad I was the lucky few to be able to do it.
